Barge Towing Operations
Our company regularly carries out barge towing operations, providing the safe and controlled towing of barges with various sizes and specifications.Within the scope of these operations, barges are towed by our tugboats along pre-determined routes, taking into account the load condition as well as weather and sea conditions. Throughout the towing process, marine traffic safety, port areas, and environmental factors are given top priority.
MG/TUG Değirmendere – Military Tugboat Scrap Transfer Operation
The military tugboat MG/TUG Değirmendere, which had completed its service life, was safely transferred from Alaybey Shipyard to the Değirmendere area for scrapping purposes by our company.During the operation, the tugboat was towed in a controlled manner, with due consideration given to maritime safety and environmental risks. Throughout the route, port and coastal traffic safety was ensured. This operation, carried out with the required level of care for the transfer of military-type vessels, was successfully completed as planned.
Ertuğrul Tanker – Scrap Transfer Operation
The Ertuğrul Tanker, which had completed its service life, was safely transferred from Alaybey Shipyard to the Aliağa Ship Recycling Zone as part of the scrapping process.During the operation, the vessel was towed in a controlled manner by our tugboat, with due consideration given to marine traffic safety and environmental protection. All necessary safety measures were implemented along the designated route, and the transfer was completed smoothly in accordance with the planned operational procedures.
MG Bodrum Patrol Vessel – Scrap Transfer Operation
The MG Bodrum Patrol Vessel, which had completed its service life, was decommissioned from the military inventory and allocated for scrapping. Within this scope, a safe transfer operation was carried out by our company.During the operation, the vessel was towed in a controlled manner by our tugboat, with due consideration given to marine traffic safety and environmental protection. All required safety measures were implemented along the designated route, and the operation was completed as planned in accordance with the procedures applied for the transfer of military-type vessels.
M/V Wardeh – Salvage and Safety Operation
In 2019, while anchored off Mersin Port, the livestock carrier M/V Wardeh ran aground as a result of severe storm conditions. At the time of the incident, the two crew members on board were safely evacuated by the Coast Guard authorities.As the grounded vessel posed a risk to marine traffic and the environment, port authorities implemented safety measures and initiated salvage operations. In the initial phase, water and sand were removed from the vessel to make it suitable for towing. Subsequently, the vessel was successfully refloated and removed from the area through a controlled towing and salvage operation carried out with tugboat assistance.
MY Barbie – Emergency Safety Towage Operation
In 2016, following a yacht fire incident in the Yalancıboğaz area of Marmaris, an emergency safety towage operation was carried out by our company due to the potential safety risk posed by the yacht MY Barbie in the area.After the fire was extinguished, the damaged yacht, which had lost its ability to maneuver under its own power, was safely and controllably towed by our tugboat away from the location. Throughout the operation, the safety of nearby vessels, marina facilities, and the marine environment was carefully monitored.
